Question about Photo Software

Hello, Gather Friends!

I just got a new laptop and am wondering what the best photo software for the cheapest price would be. What do you use to edit and create your photos? I want to be able to maybe put frames around them and edit a bit and maybe make in different gray scale, plus I am sure there is much more that I would enjoy doing that I am not even thinking about right now.

Any and all your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

When I post photos, I just post them....don't do any editing or anything like that (I'm far too lazy.....LOL!). I've no idea about photo software.....perhaps, once we've been to Alaska, I'll want to do something "special" with all those photos........

I use Picasa, as it's free.

I have a free version of Photo Shop and it is ok. I know the paid versionis like $80 or more. I used to use Picnik but it is no longer. I use what came with my HP. I hope U find one U like.
