Now that it's known Khloe Kardashian won't be returning to the next season of The X Factor, does that mean Mario Lopez will go solo at his hosting gig? Extra correspondent Renee Bargh says he's more than qualified.
According to a report from Hollywood Life, Khloe Kardashian, Britney Spears and LA Reid are all gone from the next season of The XFactor. Does Mario need a cohost or can he manage the job quite nicely on his own?
"Mario is actually going to host the show on his own. He doesn't need a co-host. He can handle it on his own," Bargh says.
The husband and soon-to-be father of two has many talents—just one of which is hosting the talent competition. He does a stellar job on Extra. Why wouldn't he do just fine on The X Factor, too?
If Mario were to need a cohost, who do you think some viable options might be? What about bringing Selena Gomez on as his sidekick? Her BFF Demi Lovato is a judge. It might bring a whole new crowd of viewers to the show.
What about a turn in the opposite direction with an older cohost? Someone like Dina Lohan would certainly stir the pot, don't you think?
All kidding aside, there's no doubt about it, Mario Lopez is fully capable of hosting The X Factor solo, and will likely be very popular with the audience and home viewers. He's long been a favorite on Extra for a long time now and will probably make a whole new mark for himself as The X Factor host, with or without a sidekick.
