Since a lot of you are enjoying these tips but do not have the time to visit pinterest or say it is too complicated to maneuver around then I am here to help.
I want to start posting helpful tips that I find on there to help you enjoy these great tips also.
Pinterest led me to this website that is great to teach us and give us tips on how to make our foods last longer. Here is the link if you want to go to the website, if you do not have time, I am sharing some below.
*Chop up your green onions into small pieces and make sure they are completely dry and freeze them in a empty plastic water bottle. Then all you have to do is pour them out of the water bottle straight from the freezer.
*We all are familiar with using panty hose and tying up onions by placing a knot under the onion and putting another one and tying knot and letting hang in dry dark place and your onions will last up to eight months.
* Did you know you can make your strawberries last up to two weeks and raspberries last a week by soaking them in a solution of one part vinegar, either white or apple cider, and ten parts water. Then dry completely and they will last in the fridge much longer.
*Store your potatoes with your apples and this will prevent your potatoes from sprouting.
*Add some butter to the cut end of your cheese to prevent it from drying out.
*Wrap the crown of a bunch of bananas in plastic wrap and they will stay fresh longer.
*Whether you have your salad in a bowl or in pint jars place a paper towel on top of it and it will keep the salad fresh for up to a week.
*Wrap celery, broccoli and lettuce in tin foil before putting in your fridge and it will stay fresh for weeks.
*Store your ripe tomatoes step up on the counter, not in the fridge, and keep them separated from one another to last a few days longer.

I sure hope some of these are as helpful to you as they were to me.
