WHY IS MEXICO ASKING THE U.S. SENATE FOR A REGISTRY OF U.S. GUN OWNERS?

Mexican lawmakers will ask the U.S. Senate to create a registry of all commercialized firearms in border states, which includes California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. Mexico says it will make it easier to trace guns used in violent attacks.

The measure was reportedly approved on January 9 by Mexico’s Permanent Commission, a government entity that meets when Mexico’s Senate and the Chamber of Deputies is in recess. Gun owners in Arizona are calling the proposal “foolish” and an “invasion of privacy.”

This can not happen,  this is no different than giving a list of people who own guns to another country allowing them to know who owns guns, then they can come rob the people steal their guns use them and the person who owned the gun gets the blame for this.

If the state is going to do this , we can be sure this will trickle down into other states so dont think you might be out of the woods because your not living in this particular state.

Pass this around and speak out there is NO WAY THIS SHOULD BE ALLOWED!!!

In case of an invasion they would know who to go after first. In case of a cross border incident or smuggling they would know who to avoid. I think the drug gangs would love to have that information.

They would, and I wouldn't doubt the drug gangs are hired by the US FEDS, I have heard much on that. Fast and Furious. Think about it though Col. if they get this list of gun owners who is to say they who ever they might be , go to these peoples homes rob them of their guns if caught off guard, steal them, commit a crime that person who owned the gun will get the blame for it. Forget about having a trial, or calling the police. I just wonder if this might be another way to round up the American gun owners guns.

Just the fact that a Mexican government wants such a list should kill any gun legislation. They would not make such a demand without good motivation.

Our government (President) should inform Mexico not to interfere in our business. The very thoought a country with a drug war going on and a lawlessness that rivals all other nations is demending anything of the United States is repugnant.

Some how I think we are tapping into them, rather than the other way around. Orrrrr Mexico is making some juicy crooked deals that Obamanus just cant turn down.

At one time I would have said there was no way the Senate would entertain such a silly request. Now, with Harry Reid in charge -- I just don't know.
