It's magic!

Around here there is a three second delay between the light turning red for the people going one way until the light turns green for people going another way. Even though I know this, I love looking at the lights, counting to three and snapping my fingers as if it were the magic of me that made that light turn green.

I imagine that I have a kid in the car and me doing this, claiming it was magic. I imagine them being amazed until the grow older and realize the secret. I imagine that child thinking upon those moments with love and fondness as they grow older.

Cuz it's magic!
