Update on My Dad's Surgery

If you read my post earlier today you know that my dad had surgery earlier today.  They decided after doing a stress test yesterday that he should have a pace maker put in, and by 11:30 this morning he was already in surgery.  I was upset because I didn't get to talk to him before he went in to surgery.

So my brother Darin who you all know and my sister Holly who you all know and I were all on pins and needles hating the waiting until my dad finally called me at around 4:30.  He was said he was a little groggy but he sounded fantastic.  He seemed to have a lot of energy and he said his chest did not hurt at all. He did say that his arm was still hurting quite a bit, and fell and broke his humorous due to low blood sugar for those of you who did not read my earlier post.  But he said otherwise he felt great.

So I don't want to jinx anything but apparently everything went well today.  I don't know when he will get out of the hospital yet because they are experimenting with his blood sugar to make sure he gets on the right meds and dosages before he goes home.  His blood sugar has been out of control for some time so this might have actually ended up being a good thing except for his broken arm.

So thank you so much everyone who said a little prayer for him earlier today.
