Week 3 update.

Tomorrow will be the end of week 3 treatments so I have 4 left to go.  So far no bad side effects except extreme tiredness and my throat is starting to get sore from radiation burn.  They gave me some medicine for my throat that helps a little bit.  They also warned me that things will only get worse from now on.  I'm not looking forward to it but this to shall pass eventually.

I'm not able to get on every day as my daughter has her work to do and other times I'm just to tired to even read.  I'm hoping I feel good enough to go to Alana's spelling bee tomorrow.  She will be so disappointed if I don't go.  I'm also hoping to go home for the weekend.  I really miss my wide open spaces.

Sorry i'm so far behind on everyone's posts but I know you all understand.  Thank you all for the prayers and good wishes.  I love you guys.

Don't worry about being on here! Just get as much rest as possible so you can endure this awful treatment. So sorry you are going thru all this. I'm sure it will kick those cancer cells to the curb, though! :)

Thanks Debbie. Kicking them to the curb is a great idea. Lol. Every treatment I imagine them getting smaller.

Hope you feel better. Trying to remember what it was that my cousin said worked really well for her sore throat. She had a medication, but then starting taking something natural that another patient told her about and it did the trick.

I'm wishing you a fast and speedy healing. I'm so sorry that you are having to go through this and I'm hoping that the rest of the treatments just won't be as bad as your doctor suggested. Get well fast.

Glad to hear the first three weeks of treatment has gone well. Take care and keep us updated as the weeks go by. Don't worry about keeping up with our posts....we'll be here when you are feeling better. Keep your spirits up....you can lick this.

I hope you do get to go to the spelling bee. Focusing on our loved ones is possibly the best medicine and truly an incentive to fight. When I had to have a brain tumor removed last spring, my thoughts were all about my children, my husband and my unborn grandson.
My left hand was paralyzed for a while after the surgery and I worked it hard so that I would be able to hold my grandson and I did. He is so beautiful and when I think how close I came to not knowing him and I feel so blessed. Look for the blessings, Nancy.

Saying prayers for you Nancy....you are very brave and I hope your knowing there are so many Gather friends thinking of you, will help. Illness is a lonely trip and just keeping in touch as you have been, enlightens your friends and reminds you you are loved...two way streets in this life but communication helps. Bless you!
