On Feb. 15, Sarai Sierra's wake and funeral will be held at the Christian Pentecostal Church. It will also be the 15th wedding anniversary for the murdered mother and wife according to the Daily Mail.
And the fact that it would have been a day of celebration between a husband and his returning wife, if the New York woman had lived after her Istanbul trip, makes it that much harder.
And that's why Steven Sierra says he is too overwhelmed with grief to even read the media coverage about her murder.
David Jimeneze, Sarai's brother, wants the public to know that although it is hard for Steven to interract with them right now, the family does want the public to know they are invited to attend the proceedings.
Jimeneze thanked God and supporters for funeral expense funds donated to help with burying his sister according to a previous Gather News report. And it appears he is still trying to maintain a positive relationship with the public now, despite the latest news to surface about his sister Sarai Sierra and the alleged affairs she had with two men while overseas.
According to an old friend of the victim's who spoke with the Daily Mail, "Sarai had a great family, very religious, very close knit." And it will be that family that helps Sarai's children and husband hold it together now, following her tragic ending. And God, too, of course, since they profess a faith in Him.
