Aishwarya Rai's baby, Beti B aka Aaradhya, has changed her. There's no denying that fact. But it's not just Bachchan's life that's been altered. The lives of many baby girls have been changed for the better thanks to the birth of Aaradhya.

Ash has always been an advocate for worthy charities and now the actress's own baby girl, Aaradhya, has influenced Bachchan to take an active role in showing her support for baby girls around India. Along with her husband, Abhishek Bachchan and his parents, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, Aishwarya raised Rs 2.5 million for the Plan India for their Girl Child Campaign.

Indian women, like several women worldwide, suffer from the pressures of producing a male heir. Baby girls are usually not as desired as their male counterparts. Sadly, most don't realize it is the male sperm which determines a baby's gender at conception.

As Eleanor Roosevelt said "Nobody can make you feel inferior without your permission." For too long women have given into the notion that their needs are not important and that they are the inferior of the sexes but recent studies are saying NO! It is good to know that modern women are not giving into the notion of inferiority and are instead proving themselves in all areas of academics.
