My kids are loving this series right now. My 10 year old has been reading them for awhile. He will go in spurts.. he wants to read them all in order.. and will spend a week or so reading like 1 book a day. Then he losses interest for a little while, but then will pick up right where he left off. He's up to #42 now.
My 6 year old was in the habit of reading Goosebumps books, which are scary stories for kids. He does tend to have nightmares so I questioned whether he should be reading them.. and one day at the library while looking for more Goosebumps books, after my questioning, he decided to follow his big brother's lead and check out Magic Tree House books instead. He's now on #6. He can also read about 1 book a day!
Our library does not have every book of the series, so I've had to request #42 and #6 from another library and am waiting for them to come in. In the meantime both boys are checking at their school library.
Have your kids (or grandkids, nieces or nephews) read this series? Are they as into it as my kids are?
