On February 4, this year's Oscar nominees lunched at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Some of the best and worst dressed at the daytime event included The Master's Amy Adams, Zero Dark Thirty star Jessica Chastain, and Jennifer Lawrence of Silver Linings Playbook.
Jessica Chastain's floral moment was a success. The 35-year-old actress wore Erdem, as noted by Just Jared. The ladylike number had floral embroidery in lovely shades of pink and blue. 3/4 lace sleeves showed a hint of skin. Jessica held back and chose demure, nude-colored footwear. Pink lip color, and glossy curls completed her look.
Like Jessica Chastain, Amy Adams stood out at the Oscar Nominees Luncheon. The Best Supporting Actress nominee was headed in the right direction with her long-sleeved J. Mendel dress. The soft and flowing dress came in a blur of purple print. It also had a revealing back which contrasted with its modest length. The only thing Amy could have used was a less clunky pair of shoes as her nude Casadei pumps felt too heavy.
Talented, young actress Jennifer Lawrence did not have much luck in the style department at the luncheon. Her white Chloe dress did not have the most flattering silhouette. Jennifer always does well with more structured, close-fitting garments and this strapless, ruffled hem dress was a bit of a mess, as was her pale lip color.

I preferred Jennifer Lawrence's Chloe dress to Amy Adams' J. Mendel, which just seemed garishly loud and didn't flatter her figure.
