Spike is my bratty 7 month old Short-Medium haired Ginger & Cream Tabby, all boy! He's now weighing in at 10 lb and is the size of the average full grown cat but he's only 1/2 grown.
His latest game is when I'm washing dishes he'll flip water at me and get me soaked, thus I wash dishes in my PJ's so I don't have to change clothes multiple times each morning. I tried to flip water back at him, which in his mind meant I wanted to play despite my knock it off & quit splashing me you little devil protests.
I then got to where I started pouring a little warm water down his back in hopes he would leave me alone then, no such luck.
I've had enough I decided this morning and dunked him in the warm sudsy dishpan and then rinsed him off, he was wet from his neck to his tail, he shook like a dog and ran around the house acting like a wild cat. He then came back when I was nearly done washing dishes and almost ready to dump the water and started splashing water at me again, so he got a 2nd dunking that also meant his chin and whiskers got a little wet because I rubbed my wet hand on his chin and whiskers, I rinsed him off again and proceeded to towel dry him and then was going to turn on the blow dryer on low when he decided he'd had enough and went and settled in the living room with some of his toys and left me to finish the dishes in peace.
I doubt that's the last time he starts a water war with me though considering how ornery, stubborn and feisty he is sometimes when it suits his mood.
He also chewed my phone charger in two pieces Saturday morning. My brother & I can share a charger for now but we're wondering if Spike isn't part dog instead of just simply a BRATTY kitten who acts like most 2 yr old toddlers, they find all sorts of mischief to get into if we're not watching closely.
