Downton Abbey has become a smash hit for PBS, and now it seems Sesame Street wanted in on the fun. The children's programming staple has created their own spin on the British drama for a segment that will air in the new season. While fans will need to wait until season 43 premiere Monday, Feb. 4 to see the full clip, Friday Yahoo shared a sneak peek that is worth a watch.
The clip showcases muppet versions of Mr. Carson and the Dowager Countess. As is often the case with smart children's programming, the kids may not pick up on the nuances of the skit, but many moms watching from home will definitely get a kick out of it.
Downton is currently broadcasting season 3 on PBS in the U.S., and it's already been quite the ride. Spoilers for the Downton Abbey season 3 have been shocking to fans, and season 4 is about to begin filming. That said, fans can't turn away from this surprise hit that has taken both the U.K. and the U.S. by storm.
