Ever had a song stuck in your head?! Boy do I have one!!! It's been there all morning! GooGoooDolls- "Don't Want The World To See Me"..... don't have a reason for it- it just is. So imagine that song and a bunch of determination and you have my morning!

 

Yay! I did it! Turn over (first turn, mind you, still have to add fertilizer and turn it again!) But I completed turning over and breaking ground and mashing up a whole whopping 13 X 17 rectangle of dirt! Just me and a shovel. Going to be my first garden ever. Well, I have had a few boxes in past, but my first ever designated space. 13 x 17 is damned near the size of entire yard I had entirely at the old house before we moved. Now I have this plus plus plus! Yay! It's like 2 yards in one! :) Yay!

whew. pooped... but happy! ..... no -really tired now... Ha!

And this... (LOL Haha!Tatt is showing in my highwaters- LOL) ...This  below is the mini rock garden I have found along the way- so cute... I think the birds keep messing with them. They get re-arranged after I leave. :D

 

Okay- that's my morning. Now to go drink a ton of water and find some lunch... what sounds good? I'll probably have some left over Zitti.... maybe... or just drink some water and sit a bit..Ha! Happy Friday!!!!!!

Don't start me on having songs in my head. Arghhh, now I'll be singing that song all day. Cruel and unusual punishment.

I would normally have thought it's too early too- but the bees are buzzing and the rain from last week is making the grass and weeds grow like crazy- so i guess i should go with the flow. :)

Wow, great post and photos.........and I might add, you are very lovely!!! Would you believe, I've never had a garden, would not have any idea on how to go about planning/starting one, etc. Now, on the other hand, my mom and dad had the biggest garden in their little town and were always giving away fresh stuff.......they always wanted me to help out and wanted to teach me to garden, but I had no interest, whatsoever, so would end up NOT helping them.
out.....now, many years later, I wish I would have.......LOL!!!!!
So, instead, we go shopping at Whole Foods Market!!!!

My grandpa had a huge garden too- and oh how I wish I had taken the time to learn! MUch the same way I wished I'd learned the knitting and crocheting my grandma wanted me to learn.

What a delightful photo essay. I tend to sing a lot of the day so can appreciate your song in your head. My students tend to be annoyed by songs but that is another of life's lessons that they can learn.

I'd say turn it up! I do not believe there is anything wrong with learning songs that important to another- each genre, each generation has poured soul and meaning into songs- fantastic way to learn heart and soul.

Been a while since having one particular tune or melody stuck in my brain - it seems that over the years they have propergated and ganged up on me so that I can go from one to the other and still get lost in the weirdness..Am no gardener but that looks like a lot of work..hope you are able to divide into sections for different plants..or vegatables..LOL Good luck

inspiring...I have done many gardens and have found that the care and time that you put into the readying of the soil is the most important thing, plus watering and weeding...it is a lot of work but when harvest time comes around, it's all worth it...good luck

I often get haunted by a song, frequently not one I would want to have there. I recently told my son he couldn't watch a certain TV show until I got that tune out of my head. Three days was more than enough.
