February First

The first month of 2013 is already gone. If we thought we had a hectic schedule then... just wait. Gretchen had her six week post-op yesterday. The day before, we took her in for weight bearing X-rays of her ankle. We had the same technician as we had for the second set of post-op X-rays. Gretchen and I really like him.

The doctor liked what he saw in the X-rays. Gretchen's pins in her ankle, where the subtalar joint should be are holding well, and he cleared her for PT.  Gretchen sees the podiatrist again on March 21st. He said he won't recognize her, because she'll be walking into his office. Of course to accomplish this, someone needs to attend physical therapy 2-3 times a week!  Since we only have one driver in the house, scheduling just got more complicated.

Today is Friday and both girls will be home around noon. Rachael because she has early release every Friday. Gretchen has a half day for parent/teacher conferences. Then tonight Rachael has a Girl Scout get together. They are putting together photo books of the 8 years of scouting. Yesterday my oldest sister sent me a photo text. Both my nephews broke their thumbs. They are sporting identical green casts. Well my oldest nephew is coming out to visit February 20th. We certainly should hear an interesting tale.
