The Fox News Channel, the largest conservative media outlet, suffered its worst month since 2001 in January among the most coveted viewer demographic, according to the latest ratings figures. A press release from the NBC Media Center reported that Nielsen ratings for the month of January showed Fox News viewership at a 12-year low, while rival MSNBC gained ground in all categories in 2012.

Like it or not, FOX is cleaning the others' clocks. Expect it to continue.
The lack of interest and participation by Americans in political affairs is one reason America has been in decline and lost its way.
Democratic party politics in the US requires such low information voters in order to succeed and the media (with a few exceptions) agrees to deliver such.
The real truth being that FOX hires (and has guests of "the other side") the types of "Lefties" that their audience loves to hate ... those of the Left then being but "high contrast" shills (straw-men) that better serve the selfish interests of the network.
Such claims are subjective mumbo-jumbo. It is like asking if someone has stopped beating his wife yet. No answer is acceptable. Actual studies demonstrate than the "lame-stream" media is neither balanced, reasonable, or moderate. See mrc.org.
