If you happen into a restaurant and George Clooney is among the diners there, try to snag a seat near him. It might pay off in more ways than one.
According to a report from omg!, a table of patrons at a Berlin restaurant called the Grill Royal had their entire tab paid by the former ER star.
The actor was dining with a group of his friends in Berlin, where he is presently on location filming The Monuments Men. Afraid that he and his guests were making too much noise and possibly disrupting those
at a nearby table, he picked up the bill for the table of strangers. It only set the actor back about $135--which in Clooney language is pocket change. Still, the gesture was generous and well received.
Clooney and his pals weren't the least bit disruptive, however, according to the people at the nearby table.
"They had behaved in a very cultivated manner," one of the men who benefited from Clooney's generosity. And when he was told a stranger picked up their bill? "I was stunned," he said.
Can you first of all imagine entering a restaurant with a group of friends and noticing that George Clooney is eating at a nearby table? And can you imagine the excitement over learning that The Ides of March and The Descendants star had paid your restaurant tab?
Hopefully the recipients of Clooney's kind act asked for a few autographs and to pose for a photo or two with the handsome hunk!
