There's good news and bad news for Alec Baldwin. The good news is he's supposedly going to be a daddy again; this time with new wife Hilaria. The bad news is he could turn back into that screaming banshee who left ugly and vile messages on his 11-year-old daughter's voice mail a few years back.
For those who don't remember the incident, he screamed nonstop at his daughter Ireland; born from his union with actress Kim Basinger. During his tirade, he called Ireland a "thoughtless little pig," among other things. Someone got hold of the message and released it to the press who, in turn, played over the airwaves a number of times.
One judge became so alarmed by Baldwin's actions that she temporarily banned him from Ireland. Eventually, everything got worked out and dad and daughter regained visitation rights.
Still, one has to wonder what Hilaria is thinking having a child with a man who has proven to be anything but good father material in a lot of people's eyes. Perhaps she really believes the actor has changed. Maybe, like others, she feels the whole Alec/Ireland thing got blown out of proportion. After all, every parent says things to their children that they wish they could take back.
So far, Hilaria and Alec aren't confirming the pregnancy anyway. It only leaked out via one of the "close friends" Mrs. Baldwin supposedly told. So there is an outside chance the whole thing would be moot. No baby equates to no new bad father worries. Still, if it's true and the couple do become parents, here's hoping Alec Baldwin has sufficiently mellowed enough to keep his cool no matter what his daughter, or son, does or doesn't do.
