TOP-10 "ONLY IN AMERICA" OBSERVATIONS - BY A CANADIAN
1) Only in America could the rich people - who pay 86% of all income taxes - be accused of not paying their "fair share" by people who don't pay any income taxes at all.
2) Only in America could people claim that the government still discriminates against black Americans when they have a black President, a black Attorney General, and roughly 18% of the federal work-force is black while only 12% of the population is black.
3) Only in America could they have had the two people most responsible for our tax code, Timothy Geithner, the head of the Treasury Department and Charles Rangel who once ran the Ways and Means Committee, BOTH turn out to be tax cheats who are in favor of higher taxes.
4) Only in America can they have terrorists kill people in the name of Allah and have the media primarily react by fretting that Muslims might be harmed by the backlash.
5) Only in America would they make people who want to legally become American citizens wait for years in their home countries and pay tens of thousands of dollars for the privilege while we discuss letting anyone who sneaks into the country illegally just 'magically' become American citizens.
6) Only in America could the people who believe in balancing the budget and sticking by the country's Constitution be thought of as "extremists."
7) Only in America could you need to present a driver's license to cash a check or buy alcohol, but not to vote.
8) Only in America could people demand the government investigate whether oil companies are gouging the public because the price of gas went up when the return on equity invested in a major U.S. oil company (Marathon Oil) is less than half of a company making tennis shoes (Nike).
9) Only in America could the government collect more tax dollars from the people than any nation in recorded history, still spend a Trillion dollars more than it has per year - for total spending of $7-Million PER MINUTE, and complain that it doesn't have nearly enough money.
10) Only in America could politicians talk about the greed of the rich at a $35,000.00 a plate campaign fund-raising event.

...it's pretty bad when you're already lost at the beginning.
As long as he or she does not significantly adversely affect the rights of anyone else to do their own thing too. Demented in someone's opinion or not. :)
To be fair, America has increasingly become a country of low information voters largerly due to radical Socialists having used calls for more "fairness" and "equality" and information manipulation to gain support for their radical agenda from two generations of Americans who went through an education system and then were daily "informed" through various media which has become increasingly dominated by radical Socialists.
It's all been about controlling public viewpoint by changing and slanting the content of information. For example, in Chicago, a couple who in the early 1970s founded a violent anti-American Communist terrorist group they called the "Weather Underground" and bombed public buildings and killed Americans have become highly regarded celebrities who since the early 1980s have been working quietly to advance Communism in American education. In the early 1990s they recruited our current President to work with them as head of three lush foundations to distribute tens of millions of dollars in support of Communist organizations, political candidates and child education programs. Using techniques described and employed successfully by a Communist revolutionary named Saul Alinsky, they also have allies in several of the world's richest men, who lavish funds and political influence on hastening the far left "fundamental transformation" of the nation which the current President announced but never specifically delineated.
As the most powerful nation of the post-World War II period, the US has become the number one target of various global government advocates. They realize the US must be reduced to closer to average nation power in order for American to accept relinquishing national sovereignty to an organization which would then promise to improve their lot.
So there has actually been an effort to erode the country rather than strengthen it, and shockingly, the current President for his own reasons is the standard bearer of that movement. As a result, America today has tragically become the victim of an alliance among business globalists, Communists, radical Islamicists and other enemies of Western Civilization and American power, Capitalism and Christianity. It's become a very powerful force made moreso by exploiting and perverting Americans' historic empathy, generosity and yes naive trust that their elected leaders are being mostly honest with them.
Thus a dumbing down has been part of an effort to transform the American mentality by concerted deliberate effort directed at those in positions to influence public opionion, from one which traditionally protected the sovereignty and value of the individual to one which sees everything through the Marxist sense of the priority of the collective alone.
Can those on the left explain it away? Are any of them not true... Rangel and Timmy are tax cheats... This has been proven...thats just one...
So when all else fails insult the messenger, and you know Donald you have them on the run.... Good job... You win....
