Got very good news today!

I don't usually post about my health issues, but I wanted to share this today.  I had surgery almost three weeks ago to remove the left lobe of my thyroid because of a large tumor on it.

Today I went for my post op follow up with the surgeon.  He said that the pathology report showed that the tumor was BENIGN. He seemed hopeful that I would not need thyroid medication but said that I would need a blood test in a month to find out for sure.

Needless to say, I'm a happy camper this afternoon!

Thanks Olive. I still haven't totally healed from having my right kidney removed in July 2011, so hopefully I can continue healing from both surgeries and get back to something resembling "normal". lol

Hope so too. Do you get a lot of exercise? Good food? keep a journal as it may help to see what you are doing right.

No, not a lot of exercise due to a badly damaged knee, but I do try to eat a good diet, as organic as possible, drink filtered water, and take supplements. And I'm almost 63 and have hardly any gray hair. ;)

I think diet has a lot to do with it! I know we can grow lettuce very easily.
