Life has been crazy busy lately. It seems there are many who are sick with this crazy virus that is going around. I heard on the news that it was highly contagious and the only way to keep from getting it was to wash your hands with soap and water over and over again. They also said this virus can stay live on surfaces for up to two weeks.
So have you had this virus?
Has it hit your community yet?
What are the symptoms that are accompanied this virus in your home?
Are parents sending kids to school while sick?
Do you keep getting it over and over or does your system build up a resistance to this virus?
Did you have a flu shot?
I found this post the last minute and thought you would want to know about it.

Some years ago, I got good advice from a public health nurse on preventing the spread of virus:
1. Wash hands frequently with antibacterial soap or cleanser.
2. Open windows every day, despite cold temps, for at least 10 minutes to blow germs out of the house. This is more effective than cleaning surfaces with bleach/cleaning products.
3. When a patient recovers, get him or her a new toothbrush. No point in re-ingesting the virus and relapsing.
I've been busy, thinking about Valentine's Day and all the goodies I'm going to make for the guys, as well as things to make to take over to our Center.....I love Valentine's (just posted a really neat recipe for red velvet torte dessert.....it's to die for!)......am trying to post many Valentine's recipes.
We've had ice all morning and into the afternoon, so church was cancelled. It was a nice, quiet day at home till we had an "unexpected" visitor....a squirrel got into the house and in the kitchen....scared the heck out of me....LOL!!! I let out a screech and think that sent the squirrel flying out the way he got in! What an experience!
We have had a lot of flu at the hospital and my grandson came down with it. Hot soap and water is the answer. Use hand sanitizer (AKA Germ Squirt, as my grandson calls it) when you can't wash.
Thanks for the heads up as to what is going on.
He is now Crawling and Teething, and we are trying to 'baby proof' all over again, after 30 years. :)
Thank-You for reading and featuring my recent post!~
I haven't had the flu yet. Scott did though.
I hope the flu goes AWAY!
I'm drinking cup after cup of tea, mostly Traditional Medicinal's Gypsy Cold Care. And I'll turn in earlier than usual tonight.
thanks for asking, Connie!
