Challenge: Write either a story or poem, fiction or non-fiction about modern Space department Projects.
Building a bridge to Earth had seemed like a good idea at the time. Bob Bildge, resident alien on Mars had the genius notion. He put together the plan, gathered all the tools he would need and so on. For years, he worked with his fellow Martians to get the project finished.
When they had put together everything they had needed. Clusters of their friends got aboard a ship and cruised into what the Earth people called the sky. Oddly enough, they were not well received. Either the Earthlings stared, took pictures, or tried shooting them down.
But, they still tried, wanting peace and to share their resources. The Earthlings kept rejecting their overtures. And, over time, they gave up. Not, that they stopped flying over the Earth, oh no, they used that time as research. All kinds of cures were made for diseases for their own planet.
They prospered, while Earth died out and the all the creatures upon it had their own personal Armageddon.
Bob just shook his head wondering how such intelligent beings could be so stubborn.
