Why did the main stream news not tell the American people about the American hostage situation in Algeria.

I can not understand how people pick on me for watching fox nextwork. I watch fox because I get a lot of information that is omitted from main stream news. Most of my friends do not watch fox so they did not know American hostages in Algeria. I am glad that it is over and quickly. I am sorry if there was lose of life. Terrorists are very active in killing Americans. Taking American hostages is a profitable business.

I saw it on PBS News.

Why do you think it wasn't on any other news besides FOX? Can you really keep up with them all to know what they all report on?

Just google "American hostages Algeria"!!!

I did and the first things were links to ABC News, USA Today, CNN, and Huffington Post (and then I stopped counting).

I guess it was not enough blood for the newspapers to talk about. I understand that most news media believe that if it bleeds it leads. No blood leave it alone.

That is straing because I watch CBS news in the afternoon before my soap opera and there has not been anything there. Maybe they gave it a post note before coming on the air or getting off the air. I also have seen nbc news in the early evening and nothing was said either. I will have to check and see if there is a clip out there where these shows have actual talked about Algeria. I am going to look too. Were these just websites that posted or where they on television where 95 percent of Americans get their news.
