Jamie McKay of 16 & Pregnant has a lot going on in her life and, recently, she got a lot more added to her plate. Fans have noticed that her tweets have seemed a little off and now she is ready to let them know what is going on. Jamie spoke with Gather exclusively about what is going on in her life.
As most fans know, Jaime's boyfriend, Ryan, works out-of-state. As a result he can be gone for long periods at a time. Any woman that has been in a long distance relationship knows how hard it can be, but it just got a lot tougher for Jaime.
It turns out one night after work Ryan got arrested, but it isn't a simple story. According to Jamie, while in a parking lot, Ryan witnessed a fight between a man and a woman. Ryan broke up the fight and started fighting with the guy who had been beating up the girl. A friend of Ryan's tried to break up the fight while another friend stood by and watched. When the police arrived, they arrested Ryan and his friends and charged them with "malicious wound," which in Virginia is a felony. If convicted, he faces five years in prison.
Ryan will be out on bond and back to work on Wednesday, but this nightmare won't be behind them just yet. She is trying to stay positive and hopes that things will work out for the best. Jamie says Ryan misses his family and wants nothing more than to be back home and having her spoil him.
This is going to be a long road for Jamie McKay, but she is a strong woman and is going to stand by her man. Hopefully everything works out best for Jamie and her family!
