Early Morning Thoughts: Old Blog Posts

I love the early morning hours before the sun rises. The house is quiet. There are no distractions. I can do what I want.

I have a lot to do today, enough to do that I’m considering writing a list. With a list I might even get it all done today. As I’m not quiet ready to start on the ‘have-to do’ list, I spent a few minutes reading some of my old blog posts. I no longer keep a blog. I just didn’t have the time for it, but I made a copy of my posts before shutting it down.

It was like reading someone else’s words. It was disconcerting. I’m not as shallow as I like to pretend and am better at turning a phrase than I thought.

Have you ever gone back to read some of your old work? Try it. You may see a side of yourself that you keep hidden, even from yourself.

I used to always make list as i was so busy. I would try to reach a store in my travels and it worked so well for me. In between appointments it was just convenient when I was on that side of town to stop and pick up supplies,

I tried to keep a journal once. A year later, I was embarrassed by the journey I had taken, since I knew better at the time. I'm glad your old blogs were pleasant for you to read.
