Where To Find Things On Gather
Do you often get confused when you are looking for something in particular? You are not alone, it seems that we all forget where things are when we don't access them on a daily basis.
There is a wonderful post written by Gather support Chuck McGuire. It has just about everything you need to know in a simple to read |
Need Help on Gather In an attempt to get your questions and problems taken care of in a timely manner, Gather has a staff of customer support agents just for your problems. However, keep in mind that they cannot help you if you don't tell them what is going on. Please refer all your questions, concerns, and feedback to the official Gather HELP FORM. The Gather staff will respond (if necessary) by email. The Gather Help Desk will be used for important announcements so feel free to check it out from time to time. Have I ever worked really hard on a post? Yes. The longest running work is a poem I posted several years ago that I still try to reword when I get a new idea. Poetry is not my natural voice, but the story needs that format somehow.
A gather friend just mailed me a copy of Kevin's latest book "Hero's in Blue Jeans". I hope to start it next week.
I enjoy photo essays because I get the best of both worlds. The photos are always amazing and the information that is added in the essays are worth my time to read. I enjoy plain photos and stories too.
I am like you, I enjoy the photos of simple things that they make so appealing. Diane does a great job for sure.
I stumble onto new folks via Gather's Most Recommended list (but avoid like the plague the Most Discussed list), via comments my friends have made and via your What Is Happening Today on Gather.
and we always enjoy the Crawford's!
Wonder if duct tape would work? :)
But, I love when something new comes to my attention
I will pop in for a few minutes, but I have been spending much of my time on other sites. The time that I have spent here today and yesterday remind me of why I generally don't spend a lot of time here. My time is worth more than a few pennies, but that is all Gather thinks its members are worth.
I hope you will get more speed from your computer soon. Hurry back.
I just started using the e-mail notifications feature on a few people so I know when they post (very handy because I think I was missing things before)--so far I have you, Len, Pam Brittain, and Angela A. I'm going to be adding more people soon. :)
Who posts the photos photo essays that you love to view? Many people on gather post about animals, I really love to read/view those. Many gatherers just post to gain points and I try to accomodate.
Who posts photo essays that keep your interest? There is no lack of variety here, thats what makes Gather so interesting.
Whose writing talent do you admire and why? If its short I'll read all the way through because someone put their effort into it, if its long I skim through it and pray I got the gist of it. Reading on a monitor is not easy on the eyes.
What do you enjoy reading about in the gather community? There is a lot of interesting short stories or posts that I get a kick out of, but of course I am always interested in things about wildlife or pets.
Do you have a post that you have spend lots of time and effort on? I try to spend a proper amount of time on most of my posts, no one is as yet a favorite.
I do realize that there are members who are here for the points but then there are those who are here for the feedback on their writing as well. We have some great writers and photographers too.
You are correct in the fact that there is a lot of variety here. Glad you are here.
