Midnight snuck up on me last night...even on Steve as he was still up too!
We started the morning out with me doing my blog post, then we headed out to Walmart. I did my job and then we did our shopkick scanning at Walmart then headed to Target for more scanning.
I then went to take my mom to the dr. and the grocery store. I shopped and saved 85%. It was early release day from the elementary school so I picked up Allen after I was done with mom. We stopped at the church so I could get my weekly cleaning done.
Once home it was pretty much a blur. We had biscuits and gravy for supper with fresh fruit. I had sent Steve to the store to pick out a fresh fruit. He came home with with bananas, oranges, apples, pears, and bananas LOL We now have a full fruit bowl on the kitchen table and more in the fridge.
Today we hung around the house and cleaned--if you can believe that! At first it was me as Steve was engrossed in the Lord of the Rings movie. I kept interrupting his movie with "take this to the garage" "take that to the garage" "clean up your tools" etc etc hehe.
Once his movie was over though he got busy straightening and vacuuming in the living room. I worked most all afternoon, and into the evening in the kitchen. It's still not near where it needs to be clean and organized wise but it's sure a lot closer! We have such the bad habit of piling things. Those piled things....or the majority of them.....are either thrown away or put where they belong.
He did also get the Christmas lights taken off the house and put away.....put the lawn mower into the shed until next season....did some organizing in the garage....and a little cleaning in the backyard.
I don't know what the high was today, but around 60, so another beautiful day here in Kansas for a winter day.
I also made another coupon shopping trip today too. I saved 66% but I'm happy with what I was able to buy and we should be good until payday again next Friday.
I probably will stay up until my usual midnight time tonight working on here now. It doesn't hardly seem like it can be Saturday. The grandkids are down with the flu...or something similar. Two of them taken to the doctor today were told they have bronchitis. It's not the same Saturday night without all the kids with us.
Here's wishing everyone a good Sunday tomorrow :)

I got home and put the stuff away and got to relax for two hours before re-heating the soup and heated up the leftover pizza for Trevor. I was happy to answer some people on Gather and I watched some cooking shows on the DVR. Tomorrow we are taking Trevor to the retro gaming store, we will go to the Chinese buffet and head to the mall so I can return something and go to Ulta. We are hoping to be home fairly early so Steve can relax and we intend to do nothing on Monday.
We went out to eat with Steve's mom to Arby's this past Monday. It was good. Then we visited with her at her house for about an hour after we ate.
My Steve goes back to work on Monday so I hope to start really getting busy on my sewing. I hope to do a lot more cleaning tomorrow in the meantime.
I can relate to your piles. I have way to many of these to work on, and more come in the mail every day. There must be more to life than paperwork.
