I don't really know what Rand Paul is up to. Legislation to stop a President is useless because it won't pass the Senate and if it did the President would veto it.

Pledge or not, MORE folks need to get themselves aware, off their butts and engaged in stopping and turning around what this pres is up to! They need to do so like their lives depended on it because in due time, it surely will......

Take the matter to the Supreme Court. The Court can rule if the President is exceeding the authority of the office.

But legislation is useless when the Senate and President are of the same party and you are trying to limit the President.

If the President is within his Constitutional authority, the law would be useless anyway.

Having ruled it contains a tax, the Court could not take up an issue that remains (because it was not argued) -- all tax bills MUST originate in the HOUSE. But the Obamacare act originated in the SENATE with Harry Reid.

The case is coming up through the system with the argument that because it was not adopted via Constitutional means, it is not law.

Just wait until the higher taxes hit this year to pay for that horrible health care bill that the king forced on us. I read a lot of material whose source I don't necessarily agree with, in order to expand my understanding of the world around me. I learn a lot abou different perspectives. Consider, for example, your wide variety of posts.

And if we've genuinely accepted Jesus Christ's forgiveness for our sins and ask Him into our hearts as the personal Lord and Savior of our own lives, I believe we don't have the option to not necessarily agree with His Word either...... As for judging, I don't believe you understand or know what that is? if indeed that's something you think I do a lot of, I would only advise you to earnestly get back into and study God's Word through the Holy Bible.......Refresh your memory a wee bit as to what that word means, what it encompasses and also, Who alone has the authority to pronounce it?

And I have never, ever failed to agree with His Word, my dear girl. Perhaps you forget that I'm a graduate of Moody Bible Institute? I've taken classes in Bible, theology and New Testament Greek from some of the best scholars in your country. To this day I spend hours a week in quiet time and study. I've probably forgotten more real theology in the last twenty years than you've ever known.

My opinion doesn't matter, as you've said. Look at the testimony of your writing: as above. I don't remember seeing "guns" anywhere in the Bible... nor even any kind of right to self-defense. If anything, Matthew 5:39 says, "but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also". The words that you write, the evil spout and the conflict that you coax from others will will be your testimony at the last judgement.

Ian, thank you. This is the best response to Sandy's ramblings I have read in years. I had to stop arguing with this crowd a couple years back simply due to the lack of fact, understanding and their tautological defenses and accusations. I have better results arguing with my cat! So I would simply read, (I too read many things that I don't agree with to see the other side) and leave to free my mind of the vile, nonsensical, unfounded and mostly dressed up hate and accusations that Sandy and her "friends" constantly make. Including how she seems to be the only person to understand "her" religion. For example her "As for judging, I don't believe you understand..." statement she scolded you with above. You sir, made my day. Most likely won't be back as I fear the pile I'm/we are going to have to defend against.

LOL Thanks, Ryan. I have to tell you: your comment made it worth the time I spent in writing this response. I try to be as logical and pointed as I can in my responses to Sandy, even though I can see from what she tries to write back that she's either not read my response, or not fully understood it. Glad to see that it's doing some good anyway.

I know how you feel, though: I actually dropped out of Gather from October to January because I didn't want to deal with the anger and the hatred of so many of the posts during election time. But I couldn't let her (or her kind) win when it came to something I love as much as writing. (I mean, she does little more than copy, paste and click publish: often hardly even producing a coherent argument.) So I try to balance between posts that are much more positive, posts that expose the evil in the world... and an occasional read/comment on something Sandy's put in the "Broadcasting" group.

Fear not the "pile", but be brave and fight for the truth! :-)
