Just a follow-up to my last post, & reflecting on 1 of the nuttiest posts I've ever seen on Gather, thinking where do these people get this SH**?!!? Sorry, but I don't believe everything I read, whether I agree with it or not. And, most of the twisted f'n crap about conspiracy theories from Benghazi to Newtown is just out there, delusional paranoia that borders on frightening! It leaves me to wonder do these people actually eat with the same mouths??? Or, how they go about having a "normal day" when their brain is so warped??? And sometimes, WTF am I still doing here on this site??? Maybe some day I'll be able to answer those questions, but until then, this graphic will do...

Note: Not sure if I was taught this as a kid, or it's innate, but adults too, need to take heed!

I'm not sure what this post is a follow up to, but I try to keep an open mind about a lot of topics until I do enough research to convince me that they are valid or bogus. Some of the theories online seem to be very far fetched, and quite often they are, but sometimes they can uncover the real truth also.
I agree with what George Carlin said and I've taught my sons to question everything and research and think for themselves rather than simply following propaganda or dogma. People over the years thought I was a bit odd for my research and beliefs...until they caught up with it and more facts became known. Examples of that were how I practiced and fought for breastfeeding and organic gardening back in the 70's and 80's. It has taken many years for people to start waking up and understanding that both are better for us.
It's hard to "buck the system", think outside the box, and look behind the wizard's curtain, but more and more are doing it as a result of the exchange of information, especially on the internet. Yes, some seem to carry it too far, but quite often there is at least a nugget of truth in their theories. One never knows....
