Dodged the Ticket!!!

I have a happy update to the state inspection thing!

Just to recap, last Sunday night when my husband headed back to his work site, he realized his car's state-mandated safety inspection had expired. He was here for 10 days on vacation but never had a chance to do anything. On Monday morning, he had to be somewhere with a lot of policemen around. So we were sure he'd get a violation ticket. And I was very upset.

Just so it turned out, he didn't get a ticket. We were both extremely surprised, but no complaints! He also got a ride from his coworkers so he could drop off the car at the inspection station on Wednesday, and got the inspection done.

So the total amount of money he wasted is down to $16 (which is the inspection fee; if he had done it at the dealership in Fairfax, it would have been FREE), which is much better than the ticket. So I am happy!

That is very good news indeed! Dad had to replace both a muffler and our hot water heater, and now Mom is in the hospital but should be out pretty soon. She fell last night and hurt her knee, and probably needed to see the doctors anyway. Have a blessed weekend and thanks for posting this!

What is it about knees lately?? The four of us in a Reiki Circle all needed our knees worked on last time, and I think 3 out of 4 were left knees. And today I talked to a friend in Michigan, and she had run into a waste basket with her left knee!
