Ok so I went to my first dentist in a year. There was nothing major done. Just a lot of x-rays and exams. Also they checked my gums for disease. In the end it wasn't as bad as I thought that it would be.
I have early gum disease. It's definitely treatable and I can get better. It'll be a lot and mom says that it'll hurt but if I let it go I'll just be in more pain because it'll get worse. If it gets worse then I loose all my teeth. There are 18 spots that are going to be treated so they aren't doing my whole mouth.
There are two teeth that need to be pulled. One that was way too far gone from cancellations and rescheduling. The other one was one that was falling apart and was saved in MD. Now here's the funny thing, that tooth was a wisdom tooth. To keep me from having any problems we decided to just pull it. No big deal and really nothing that I didn't know.
Now here's the best part. I only have 7 cavities. I know that it sounds like a lot but when I had my last cleaning in MD she found 15 or more so yes 7 is not bad. Plus most of them are from older ones that just spread. I think that all in all I didn't do too bad.
Thankfully though I have a really nice dentist. Everyone is in good spirits that I can overcome this. I have turned over a new leaf so I think I'll be fine. However the assistance plan I have now they don't take so once my husband goes back to work I'll switch over to what I need to get. With the assistance I want the price won't be half as expensive. My husband is even going to go after he's employed. With what I have now though and since they didn't take it, I'm happy to say that they knocked a 200 some dollar bill down to 20. I'm so happy that I found someone and in the next year I'll have pretty teeth so I can be proud to smile again.
