Prior to the failure of the Illinois legislature to force citizens to register outlawed firearms, the state moved to place restrictions on the sale of gold.
In 2012, the Illinois General Assembly passed the Precious Metal Purchasing Act. SB3341 states
that a person who is in the business of purchasing precious metal shall obtain a proof of ownership, create a record of the sale, and verify the identity of the seller. Provides that a person who is in the business of purchasing precious metal shall not pay for the precious metal in cash and shall record the method of payment. (Emphasis added.)
In a CNBC video, Rick Santelli ties the floundering legislation to FDR’s 1933 Executive Order 6102 confiscating gold and setting the stage for Richard Nixon severing the connection between gold and the dollar in 1971.
“So let me get this straight,†writes Mike Krieger of Liberty Blitzkrieg. “First they want gun registration and now precious metal registration? I’m sure the government would only use such information in our best interests, because as we all know: Your Government Loves You. Sounds reasonable, after all, only ‘terrorists’ buy guns and gold anyway.â€
Although the bill has yet to see the light of day, it reveals the control freak mindset of government, especially in Illinois where a long-entrenched mafia has ruled Chicago and the current don is a former high-level Obama administration commissar.
There is a video but since either Gather is censoring videos they aren't posting.

I thought I heard of it all until this. This will be another thing they can use so when it comes to taking things from their population, they can scarf the gold as well.
Register your entire life why doesn't this state ask for that. I mean where does it end where everybody's nose isn't into your business.
This is getting more and more anal as the days go by.
I don't think even the Libs would want to do this. Think about it what if your grandparents left you gold, it's yours it's your safe keepings possibly for a stripped economy. It something worth value that one actually doesn't have to tell the greedy feds about.
Are they going to want you to register you gold earrings next, or necklaces, how about the bracelets.
I wouldn't tell them s---- .
