Happy New Year! And Gnu's Ear!
Don't ask me to explain the origins of this prompt. I've been under attack by A Killer Cold.
You are a young boy, between 6 and 12. Yes you are. Don't argue. What's most important to you? You can write in the context of Christmas dreams or post-Christmas realizations; just tell me what's meaningful to you at that age. (But be strong, and do not say "a Red Ryder BB Gun," because duh, that'll put your eye out.)

Dear Santa,
Three years ago I was four and I asked you to bring me a baby brother.
Mom said a big brother is a really important job. Dad said it’s great to have a wingman. Mom said Dad was aneejit. Dad said what? It’s a guy-thing.
Mom rolled her eyes and said I’d get one in spring. I said what? A wingman? Mom said no a baby brother. Dad just laughed.
The joke was on me I got a baby sister. She gets in my stuff and she screams alot.
Can we send her back?
Dan
