Kate Gosselin considered herself lucky on Tuesday after a light fixture fell and shattered in her house. Now, while some detractors believe that the reality television star broke the bulb on purpose to get attention (and a free replacement), Kate was thankful that no one was hurt.

Kate tweeted about the fixture, "Ok, house...a fallen light fixture when no1 was around?Glad no1 was standing below it, but I can't keep up w repairs!" The real question is, how does a light fixture just all of a sudden drop from above and shatter into a zillion pieces. That aside, Gosselin set herself up for criticism by complaining about not being able to "keep up" with her home repairs.
Well, it certainly didn't take long for Kate Gosselin to get the light fixed. Wednesday morning Gosselin was back on Twitter talking about doing some home repairs. Did she do the work herself? Hardly! Gosselin admits as much on Twitter. "Fixing lights, towel racks, light switches, &other household 'to do's'..well, I'm assisting&learning and happy to cross things off the list!" So, Kate stood around pointing out things that needed to be fixed beside the light?
From the sound of things, Kate's tweet about the smashed light led to getting help not just on the replacement fixture, but on a whole laundry list of other household repair projects that she had. The question some conspiracy theorists will have though is clear... was the broken light a staged event to get someone to come over and take care of her entire list of home improvement projects? The jury (in some minds) is clearly out!
