THE BUSH INFERNO

When Nature turns
her mighty
hand
against herself,
what can man
do
but harness all
and sundry
to
fight the monster
until it’s
dead.

The Prompt
Write a poem in syllabic verse. Rhyming is optional and discouraged for this exercise.
Construct your first (prototype) stanza as you write the first verse. Each stanza may have any number of lines. Each line may have a different number of syllables. Meter and word count are not factors. Give thought to the length of each line and what effect it has on the diction (i.e. mood created by the sound) and meaning of your writing.
Now write at least one more verse. Make each line have the same number of syllables as the corresponding line in the first verse.
Before you are done, you may want to go back and forth and make adjustments in line length. Make sure when you’re finished that each stanza has the same number of syllables in each corresponding line.

Yesterday I was overwhelmed by tv images of bushfires across Australia. On the internet site HowStuffWorks Tom Harris says in his article "How Fire Works" that fire kills more people every year than any other force of nature.

POV? Poem of Victory pehaps? Or Poem of Vengeance? Poem of Value? Poem of Verity? Or none of these... Is it a Product of something?... I haven't got a clue what POV stands for.
One day scienists may find a way how to insulate us against fire!
