Violent crime in America has been going DOWN over the past 20 years. The only places it's on the rise is in big cities, but not elsewhere.
Â
So, let's get this straight. Because a few big cities have really bad violent crime problems, folks out in the boonies should be penalized and have their guns taken away? Really? How about trying to fix the problems where they are instead of punishing an entire country.
Â
When the guy down the street hurts someone while driving drunk does that mean that everyone in the country should have their cars taken away?Â
Â
And check out how we really compare with the UK. They have higher violent crime rates than we do. You won't hear that on our news. In fact, I've been hearing quite the opposite. And what they repeat over and over again (they = lib/prog politicians and lamestream media, of course) becomes "fact" to them.

So banning them everywhere, and the crime rates, BY guns, will increase. Only a total idiot would believe that banning guns will lower violent crime rates, because the ban is ignored by the violent criminals!
As we all know that in Washington it is only about political expediency. The ones that want to end Consitutional rights (their first is the 2nd Amendment) don't want to hear about reality in the US.
Back in the 1990's all police departments could afford to report their crime stats. It costs 5K per year to report to the FBI (It is the cost of the computer program used to report). Only large (city) police departments can afford it. Most no longer report, they can't. They don't have the money to do so. In NH the State Police report if they were called in, Manchester, Nashua, Salem and I forgot the other 2 towns. So most of NH does not report.
I believe the Govt wants people to think the crime rate is decreasing. Just pay attention to Police logs in your area and you will see the spike.
