Tomorrow begins a new semester of school for me. For the first time, I am only taking online courses. This should be interesting! The first course I'm taking is Public Speaking. The textbook seems simple enough to follow. I think the biggest challenge will be that I have to arrange for my own audience for each of the four speeches. I have to have at least ten people in the audience, and they have to be age 16 or older. I may arrange to give at least one speech to my boys' youth group, or perhaps a Bible study group at the church. We also live near a major retirement community that has lots of clubs and groups. I may be able to find a book club and discuss a particular author or book. I have time to figure it all out though, and I'm sure it will all turn out fine in the end.
I am also taking a course in Nutrition. I think I'll be fine in this course too. I've already done a lot of research on my own in this area and I've spoken to nutritionists in the past who have even asked me if I had any formal training because I seemed pretty knowledgeable about it. The textbook for this course is a hefty one and there is an online nutritional analysis program that I have to use. Even so, I think it will turn out alright. I haven't seen the syllabus for this course yet -- the teacher hasn't posted anything but is supposed to have it all online by tomorrow.
I always get excited at the beginning of a new semester. It means I am one step closer to my goals.

My son had his computer class on the web....he hated it, as the instructor didn't seem to know what she was doing when she would email them assignments.
