Bards of Passion and of Mirth,
Ye have left your souls on earth!
Ye have souls in heaven too,
Double-lived in regions new!
We who read enchanted verse
To avoid the boredom curse
Now appreciate their worth
Bards of Passion and of Mirth
Lines that penetrate our souls
As we strive to meet our goals
Hail to those who gave them birth
Bards of Passion and of Mirth
Double-lived in regions new
Ye have souls in heaven too
Ye have left your souls on earth
Bards of Passion and of Mirth.

The stanza in italics is the "texto" by John Keats from "Bards of Passion and of Mirth, written on the Blank Page before Beaumont and Fletcher's Tragi-Comedy 'The Fair Maid of the Inn'"
This is my first attempt at a Glossa and invite criticism and discussion.

Nice choice of texto. Well done with your first attempt.
Thanks for sharing with Gather’s Luminous Writers & Artists.
However now I am going to bed! I'll come back later to read and comment on this poem. Glad you've left it up!
I really like this, John.
The ten-line option would give more freedom to develop the gloss.
You did very well to produce something so polished and so thoughtful so rapidly.
Your attempt is recognized and appreciated, John.
Many might gloss over these glossas, not realizing their reflective value. Still waters run deep. You’ve stirred your words well here. Appearing at Mindful Poetry where it is now featured and rightfully so. Our goal is growth, not perfection.
I wonder how one might compare,
Your soul in heaven with the one you bear,
I imagine both to be equally bright,
As your choices in verse inspire delight.
