I WILL ASK THE QUESTION, AGAIN...WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE FOR PEOPLE TO SIMPLY WAKE UP AND SEE WHAT IS BEFORE THEM?
ALL COMMENTS REQUIRE MY APPROVAL BEFORE THEY WILL BE POSTED...SOME PEOPLE SIMPLY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO BEHAVE AND I AM TIRED OF THE GAMES...

There are still people who believe that presidents are elected by votes. There are factors that go far beyond simply counting votes that place anyone into the White House. That position is bought and payed for with each election. There is no way that I will ever believe that this past election was based upon votes. Look at the eastern coast. Many of the areas did not even have electricity because of the storm, and many did not even know where to vote because of the storm, yet as soon as the polls closed in these areas, they had vote totals just as with the areas that were not impacted by the storm.
For supporting the de facto notion of the First Amendment by choosing "to approve comments before they appear."
That's what I call a true respect for the freedom of self-expression.
Any thinking man, or woman, would surely respect you to the ends of the Earth and beyond.
Obama supporters just don't understand the concept of free speech. Your decision to moderate comments in your thread does not in any way constrain Brett's ability to write and post whatever he likes on his page. I always find it amazing that so many people cannot understand that.
One would think they would work on an amendment for term limits or a balanced budget, something useful.
But no, it's all about them.
If reality show that 4 years - with the last 2 campaingning for reelection - is far too short, the non possible reelection should provide some freedom; except if the opponent party wants to play games (cigars, place of birth, skin color or number of hairs on head, etc.).
But American presidents have few time to work indeed and can do less this way than in one non immediately reelection of 7 years as example.
From an extreme to the other is for sure not a solution: should we had GWB reelected a third time?
On the other hand Congress should be renewed faster than a third each 2 years and be limited to some 12 years altogether iin order tolimit corruption.
But unlimited time presidency would imply setting some "Chavezism" (LOL) without taking into account bthat the power uses and degrades men/women impeding any evolution in regard to a fast changing world.
I have said before that the ideal scenario would be for no president to be allowed to serve consecutive terms, and I make that statement in reference to my earlier statement that the last two years of the initial term being spent as a quest for a second term. That would eliminate that situation, and the president could seek office again, but not with consecutive terms.
The most troubling part of our current direction, as a nation is that we seem to be changing the very foundation of the nation, as opposed to trying to make that foundation stronger. With this new chosen direction, there seems to be quest for control, not representation of the people...Thank you for your comment...
That is exactly what is going on. There is no representation of the people. Only the desire to control and dominate us
Intersting too - I heard today that Soros bought Bushmaster a few months ago ................ possibly knowing the outcry, and able to reap a quick profit on a sales surge?
LIke you, I can nort see how this will pass the house, nor get a 2/3 state ratification needed for an Amendment.
But just the fact that it would be presented .......
Which means it will be presented over and again - familiarity with a concept tends to create an apathy, and decrease the resistance to it.
