Yes, Truth Always, I'm sure he knows. But I think, perhaps, maybe he is just statist enough that he thinks he can charge fees, tax, fine and regulate that behavior out of existence.
Oh, Truth Always, that's nothing to do with us ... that comes from Obama's stash. And before this admin it came from someone else's taxpayer provided and funded stash.
Another question then ocurrs... What happened to you own what you can afford? What happened to choosing one's own priorities and striving toward, working hard, and saving for what we want and need (rather than the gov picking and choosing who doesn't have to do that?

Doesnt this president and dont those that support him realize that these kind of taxes is passed on to anyone who buys something? Is a free cell phone worth all of these taxes? LOL guess he got over on his supporters AGAIN... NO new taxes for anyone making under 250,000. What happened to this?

And then ... rather, even as we speak, costs are spreading out from this and other policies like it making bread, eggs, bug spray, rugs, toilet paper, water etc etc more and more expensive, even for the poor and those who make way less than 250 thou.
However... perhaps ... well maybe Obama will come to some people's rescue and make them exempt from paying those taxes and costs. And of course he'll do it using the "Obamastash". In fact there is precedent for that ... remember all those people who didn't pay taxes but got refunds just the same?

The voters were listning for 'free' from the government and not how it would be paid for. They were listening to how the 'rich' will pay more so those voters can have more. The Democrats and Obama told them 'rich' would be taxed more and that would be all the money that was needed.
I doubt that those voters will even hear that they will have to pay more for all the government is handing out to them or that the quality of what they will get will decline.
For more than 2 generations the Deomcrats have been giving more an more away to the voters who want to run from reality so we have an electorate that can only hear what they will get from the government and not what they should be working for or even if they should be working.
It isn't a cult, Obama is a convienience. Look at how the keep bring Clinton out (he even over shadows Obama). The Democrats have one purpose and that is to be in power. The only interest they show in the future of the country is in how they can use it to say in power and keep spending government moneys to benefit their staying in power.
Cults are overwhelming built around a personality, the Democratic Party has one purpose (be in power) and everything and everyone else is simply a tool to that end.

This government is too big to carry, a body ignorantly but deliberately starving itself of fuel. It can't stand on its own feet, it's gone from organ to symbiotic to parasite of the people and all it will do now is suck.

From what I read, prices passed along to consumers on medical devices/equipment may go up a lot more than the 2.3% excise tax, because the tax is applied against total "gross sales" of a manufacturer, not "net income" or profits. So depending on the company and what it manufactures, the new tax could even exceed all current profits, calling for higher prices than expected to make it up. I also noted that since much medical equipment has multiple uses, you can expect your Veterinary bill for pets to go up too, since much of it is the same as used for hospitals, doctor's offices, etc.

All so called corporate taxes are an expense of doing business. They are built in to the price paid by the end consumer. The consumer pays ALL of the taxes going to the federal government. All of them... every penny.
Corporations simply COLLECT the taxes from the consumer and pass them along to the government. Anyone who believes otherwise demonstrates a stunning ignorance of how business works.

This byzantine web in a maze in a swamp of regulation only makes sense from the view of one who wants the government to have seizure rights to any property irregardless of constitutional protections, via the sheer impossibility of full compliance.
Outright theft of the citizenry is the next step of a government that can't subsist on the level of confiscation a free people would accept(which is incredibly high, on the order of 50%...and isn't enough...by far, for the appetite of this colossus). It's far more than I accept, except at gunpoint. 23% could cover debt and operation of a government that was sane in scope, if it was implemented now.
I think we're going to crash, that's all there is to it.
One frequently hears the complaint that "all politicians are bought and paid for by the big money interests" or words to that effect . As usual, I see it the other way around.
The politicians have the power, they are the ones who are doing the buying and paying. They BUY campaign contributions from the big money interests... and the currency they use favorable laws; the vast majority of which are related to the tax code.
The Flat Tax would eliminate, or at least severely restrict their ability to hand out favors to the lobbyists, which in turn would severely restrict lobbying.

Take money out of some one who is not making a lot to begin with or the elderly on a "fixed " income and it lowers their standard of living.
If this so called president is so bent on destruction of American lives why doesn't he go after Hollywooder and reduce their standard of living. It's strange to me too that people would get paid that much to play a game... strange and silly that they make more in an hour than doctors do perhaps in their whole life. Silly that people pay so much to see them do what garners them so much too.
However, they make what they make because of an agreement between them and the fans of that game. Some might say it's some kind of politics or that fans are forced to pay so much; but that is simply a smoke screen.
Without the fans the sport would languish as a paid event. If fans didn't want to pay so much or thought players were paid too much, fans would do something about it - they'd stay home. But they don't, so by accepting and paying for basketball tickets, venues, and paraphernalia of any sport, they agree to the large salaries. In effect, each time a ticket or a bit of paraphernalia is bought by a fan, high pay for players is not only agreed to secondhand, it is approved first hand by the purchase.
Though I get your point, still I could no more begrudge what they make for doing the job they are paid to do than I would berate you or would tolerate anyone begrudging my own husband for doing the same thing (not the basketball of course lol).

In any case, they too will be affected by Obama's policies one way or another. It won't hurt them as much probably (unless fans actually go so broke they can't support teams anymore at all).
