Meanwhile, as the world’s most powerful economy is drowning in debt, President Barack Hussein Obama basks in the warmth of the beaches of Hawaii, at an exclusive resort way beyond the financial reach of most Americans. The president pays the cost of his own family’s accommodations, but there are a large number of associated costs which are paid from the public purse.
What is the actual cost of Obama’s lavish vacation to America's ma xed outtaxpayers? A gobsmacking $7 million, according to White House reporter Keith Koffler, who wrote in his blog earlier this week:
In a move that is rich in irony, President Obama agreed Tuesday night to sign an emergency deficit reduction bill that does almost nothing to rein in spending and then jetted out to Hawaii to resume his vacation at an extra cost of more than $3 million to taxpayers and then jetted out to Hawaii to resume his vacation at an extra cost of more than $3 million to taxpayers.
The price tag is in addition to more than $4 million that is already being spent on the Obamas’ Hawaii idyll, bringing the total cost of the excursion to well over $7 million.

The inhabitants who had decided to do a bit of squatting were a little put out, well you know what we Brits are like when we go on holiday we don't give a shit who we upset with our antics and when a few got hurt and they started to moan in fact the little shits moaned far to much for my liking because after we extended our holiday the tour operator decided to pull the plug on the holiday they said it was something to do with how much the holiday was costing, I said £36 billion is cheap for a good old shindig while on holiday. Anyway they put us all back on the cruise ships and we set sail back to Blight'y I honestly don't know who was more glad to see us go back home the Falkland Islanders or the Argentine squatters who we used for target practice.
I wonder if Obama is enjoying his all expense paid holiday like I did? Bet he is not having half the fun.
If you are ever down that neck of the wood try The Gull & Penguin but don't take your wife when the combined service entertainment people are in town I am sure you will like the show but I am not sure your wife will like the very crude dancing strippers that leave nothing to the imagination. And be sure to keep her on a tight leash as she might not be safe when the lads who have been let of the leash for a change finish the drinking spree that they have been on.
They have a place called Deano's Bar which gets a bit lively on a Saturday night.
Apart from that when out walking and taking in the scenery which is quite beautiful stick to the designated paths around outskirts of Port Stanley as those pesky bastard Argentinians sowed quite a number of Mines that they wont pay to dig up and destroy probably because they cant afford the expense.
I went there this year for ten days to celebrate the 30 years that have passed. (I cant believe 30 years have gone by) I have a few photos that I might show. The place has changed so much, its a more cheery place to be the people who live there welcome everyone unless you are from just over the water, none of them trust the Argentinians even the few of Argentinian decent don't trust them.
We have the latest Royal Navy ships which are awesome patrolling the waters around The Falklands and South Georgia, they tell me that if an Orange or an apple was in the air long enough 30 miles away the missiles can lock on to it and hit it, why they would want to hit an Orange or an apple 30 miles away beats me!!! an Argentine fighter plane seems a much better target, its bigger for a start and the glow it would make as it disintegrated makes for better watching ;-)
The Falklands at the moment are a far better place than they were 30 years ago, this time around I strolled up Mt Longdon 30 years ago I was mostly on my stomach crawling up it and doing things that no person should do we took no prisoners you know not one, we could not afford to send men back with them to do so meant that we would have failed we were that depleted of men so we had to keep the momentum going and that meant slotting everyone who stood in the way. And then when we eventually kicked them of Mt Longdon bugger me they came back at us and for two days and nights without hardly any ammunition we were fighting mostly hand to hand. Not a nice place to be 30 years ago, but now I would recommend it to anyone who wants to see Antarctic wildlife and the battlefields.
This guy is the bottom of bottom feeders. The sooner he's gone the better Americans can get on with living.
Yes, indeed he does.
