'50 Shades of Grey' Movie: Alexandra Daddario...

First, there were reports that Chris Hemsworth is the new Christian Grey frontrunner because Ian Somerhalder and Matt Bomer are too old for the role; then Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 actress Krysten Ritter said that she's interested in playing Anastasia Steele. However, it looks like the battle to play the girl with the billionaire boyfriend is about to really heat upÂ—now Alexandra Daddario has said that she's interested in the role.

Alexandra is probably best-known for her role in

Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. She also starred alongside Christian Grey favorite Matt Bomer on the TV series White Collar, and Alexandra has another connection to MattÂ—they've both been in Texas Chainsaw movies. He starred in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, and Alexandra's movie Texas Chainsaw 3D is about to hit theaters.

So it's not surprising that Alexandra Daddario isn't afraid of Christian Grey's flogger and Red Room of PainÂ—Leatherface is a lot scarier with his chainsaw and room of rusty meat hooks. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, here's what Alexandra said when she was asked about her name being connected to the 50 Shades of Grey movie:

"I've heard that. I don't believe they've started casting. I haven't heard anything about it. But I'm honored that people are throwing my name out for it."

Alexandra also admitted that she hasn't read the books, and she went on to say this:

"I'm honored that people would think of me for any big role that is talked about a lot. But, yes, I should read the books. I've heard that they are rather risquÃ©..."

Maybe she won't find period sex and Ben Wa balls too shocking after encountering a blood-thirsty madman in Texas Chainsaw 3D.

Alexandra does look the part of Ana with her big blue eyes and dark hair, and unlike favorite Alexis Bledel, she's closer to the age of the 21-year-old college student (Alexis is 31 and Alexandra is 26). She and Chris Hemsworth might make an excellent Christian Grey and Anastasia SteeleÂ—he plays the Norse god of thunder in Thor, while she's the demigod daughter of Greek Goddess Athena in Percy Jackson. So they're a match made in heaven (or in the Elysian Fields and Valhalla).

Besides Krysten Ritter, Alexandra might have to contend with Felicity Jones, Lucy Hale, and Ashley Benson if she really wants to play Ana. These three actresses have also expressed an interest in the role.

I don't like Alexandra for Ana. Ana has delicate features and small/petite frame. Alexandra's features are a bit too fierce, and she's too tall. But she does have the eyes and pale skin. Unfortunately I don't believe that's not enough. Emilia Clarke or Felicity Jones do it for me. Just give them blue contacts and they're set! Emilia has done and will do nudity/sex scenes, and Felicity said she would do it for this role. I just think they fit better. Henry Cavill for CG! I haven't read or seen anywhere that Chris Hemsworth is taking over. Would like to see a source for that. I did read recently that he sounded disinterested when asked about the part, though.

Chris was just asked recently and said he was interested depending on the script. Chris has a big following and is very popular with the masses at the moment. He is the number one new client of CAA and is very popular with the producers. With his natural coloring and charisma he would be the perfect Christian Grey, he would look lovely with the reddish hair, much easier to go from blonde to red then brunette ;) and his acting is adorable, not stale.
