What's the real reason Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart weren't together for Christmas? Does it have anything to do with problems in their relationship?
According to a report from Hollywood Life, it is in fact related to the issues they've had in their relationship but indirectly.
Rob's family--especially sisters Lizzy and Victoria--have given him lots of grief about reconciling with his Breaking Dawn Part 2 costar. They have told him repeatedly that he could have any woman he wants. Trouble is--he wants Kristen Stewart.
"They love to tell him when certain models become single — like when Leo DiCaprio broke up with Erin Heatherton — but he doesn't care," a source explains.
Before the holidays Rob promised Kristen that things with his family would change--but they didn't--at least not so far.
"Kristen is paranoid — Rob promised her he'd start distancing himself from his family; she knows he values their opinion and fears that one day, he's going to cave," the source says.
Insiders close to Rob feel exactly the opposite will happen instead, however.
"Rob has told his family to back off. If they keep making things difficult, Kristen just may get her wish — and Rob could push them away," the insider says.
While this might sound like an excellent solution to Rob and Kristen's problem, it isn't. In order for a couple to have a good, long lasting relationship it's always best if both side's families are supportive of their situation. Robert Pattinson should sit down and have a heart to heart with his family and explain just how much Kristen Stewart means to him, and that their support would mean a lot to him.
Do you think Rob's family might relent if he approaches them this way? It could make a huge difference in the Breaking Dawn Part 2 actor's overall happiness. He needs his family--and he needs Kristen Stewart, too.
