Watch out "Storage Wars" and "Storage Wars: Texas" because "Storage Wars: New York" is in da house and ready to show the rest of youse guys who da boss really is. Fahgettaboudit!!
The New Year is starting out big time on January 1 when A&E is premiering its new show to the network by letting viewers peek into the storage units of New York City with a little help from storage unit buyers.
The buyers are: Joe "P" Pauletich is a self proclaimed "legend" on the New York auction scene for more than 20 years; Candy Olsen and Courtney Wagner are relatively new to the auction game who specialize in vintage clothing; Bronx-born, tough-talking family man Mike Braiotta who's always out hustling; Chris Morelli and Tad Eaton are the dynamic duo of furniture redesign, antique treasures, and bickering; and finally John Luke who was born in North Harlem and has been fast-talking his way through auctions for over twenty years.
The New York Daily News says that the participants "all look like people we know. A little more of the hustler gene, maybe, but they're all working people. Buying a locker for $300 and selling the contents for $500 is a satisfying win in this world."
Will "Storage Wars: New York" be a success! Heck, yes! Tune in Monday nights at 10:00 p.m. on A&E. Just get your ears ready for some awesome accents. No titles will be supplied on the bottom of the screen to help you understand the New Yorkese dialect. Yo, deal wit it!
