Here is something that absolutely everyone saw coming: Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans announced on Sunday morning that she is single. However, what exactly provoked the events is unclear and it seems that there are conflicting accounts to what happened.
Before announcing on Twitter that she was single, she vented about a conversation that her husband, Courtland Rogers, allegedly had with his ex-girlfriend, Taylor. It is best to keep in mind that Courtland has a daughter with Taylor so the two talking is inevitable. However, Jenelle claimed that Courtland waited until his wife was asleep to make the call to his ex. Taylor rebutted, saying that the phone call only took place so that their daughter, Jordan (or Jaja as they call her for short), could say goodnight to her father. However, Jenelle wasn't buying it, saying that the little girl wouldn't have been awake at 11 p.m. That call apparently led Jenelle to believe that Courtland wants Taylor back so the Teen Mom decided it was best to "walk away," leading to the announcement that she was single. She told Taylor she could have Courtland back, but it looks like she doesn't want any parts of her ex.
Then, Jenelle said, " lmao yeah guess so we r in the same boat now, u are completely right about him Taylor.. I'm so serious"
She then said, "no one even knows the truth what I've been going through and that's all I'm going to say. I can't blast him BAD but I'm not like Courtland or Taylor... I've dealt with this twitter sh** for years... This is nothing new lol he can blast me all he wants but when he ends up in prison for yearsssssss cuz of the charges he has pending... He will then realize how sh**** he is."
Fans may recall that Courtland has quite the criminal record. In fact, just hours before their wedding, Courtland was hit with more charges. Many people believed that the couple married becase they thought that Jenelle would not be able to testify against him for any of the charges. Many pointed out to her, though, that wouldn't be the case and that she could still be called to testify.
Even though she said she wouldn't put Courtland on blast, she said that Courtland was homeless without her and that his family would side with her. She then claimed that she cut off his cell phone. Rather than leaving it at that, she said the reason she cut off the cell phone was because Courtland pawned his dad's cell phone in order to buy drugs. However, many fans pointed out that Jenelle had stood up for him and said that they were both clean. There have been rumors that Jenelle has a heroin addiction (rumors that seemed to substantiated by Courtland Rogers), but she didn't attest to those. Rather, she said that Courtland "told her the truth" about his addiction over the weekend. In regards to the cell phone, Taylor said that Jenelle was lying and that she was receving texts from Courtland.
After the morning long Twitter vent, Jenelle decided to deactivate her Twitter account. She didn't delete it, though, but rather made it private (thus losing her verified status). Some people decided to ask Kailyn Lowry and Leah Calvert (fellow Teen Moms) why they weren't helping Jenelle Evans in her time of need. Kailyn, though, pointed out that they have tried to help her.
Kail said, "Are you serious? We all have our own problems too. We're here for her & she knows that. But we can't help someone who won't help herself. I can't even believe you would ask if we "care enough""
With so much going on in her life, it seems impossible for anyone, even her cast mates, to get through to her. If Jenelle is seriously done with Courtland Rogers, then she has a lot to consider. When the two wed, the reality show star decided that a prenup would not be needed. It is unclear what Courtland would be entitled to in the event of a divorce at this point. If Jenelle is hoping to go the route of an annulment, then she is out of luck. In North Carolina, it is difficult to obtain an annulment and the Teen Mom wouldn't likely meet any of the critera for one (marrying a family member and marrying under false pretenses are just a few of the ways that an annulment can be obtained in the state).
Hopefully Jenelle figures something out soon and makes the best decision for her.
