Christmas Season

I do hope that everyone is having a joyful Christmas. . Merry Christmas everyone. It has come to my attention that everyone is not having a good Christmas and they have thoughts of suicide. They are really depressed. Please call a friend that you have not heard  from this season and see how they are handling the season. Isn't there someone that you haven't heard from?? Contact them it may be your phonecall that will change their thinking. Invite them over to share Christmas with you.

Just saving one person can make a difference.

Merry Christmas, Jean! Great post! We have a few friends at our Center who are totally alone.......and have no one to spend Christmas with. We have always tried to be especially nice to her, to spend time talking to her, and hubby even made her a little green ceramic Christmas tree, with lights.....she'd always wanted one.......it really brought a smile to her face.......I told her shortly before Christmas, that she's NOT alone......she has us, her friends over at the Center. There really ARE a lot of very lonely people out there.......who have nobody.....are all alone......it always makes my day to try and cheer someone up, to let them know they're NOT alone......take the time to visit with them.......time is something no amount of money can buy!

Merry Christmas to all!!! I text all my friends and call all my family either the day of or the day after. It's the nicest thing to do to let them all know that they're loved.

A very vital message and it looks like it is being passed on in a most heartwarming way! Seems like there is a song about lighting a candle to pass on that flame of love, that I remember from church. Thanks for sharing this and many happy blessings for the holiday!

Thanks for the suggestion. I've always made sure elderly family members weren't alone, but now that they are deceased, I haven't done anything. It never hurts to contact friends to wish them a Merry Christmas. I always worried about people being too busy, but this year with the expected weather problems here, even those planning to be with others may not be. Lovely and loving idea.

Christmas can definitely be a difficult time for many people. My mother-in-law passed away on Christmas Day 11 years ago and it's always hard for my husband. Thankfully he gets to see it through the joy of our kids, mostly. But this year, his dad is in the hospital so it's been an emotional tidal wave in a sense - his dad is almost 89 with pneumonia, which is not good.
