Kyleigh's Story - Christmas 2012

This year, our family had a very different Christmas. First of all, the grown-ups have been too busy to catch up and didn't have time to put up the Christmas tree. So this year, we have a paper Christmas tree, drawn by Daddy and Kyleigh, and colored by Kyleigh and Mommy.

Also, Daddy will not be home for Christmas. So we did our Christmas on Saturday already. Kyleigh didn't mind because she got her Christmas gifts before everyone else in the whole world.

The only down side is that we also didn't have time to really go shopping. Plus, without any other family member, the number of gifts was pretty slim. I am glad Kyleigh didn't have any complaints. But she gets gifts continuously throughout the year anyway!

I like your / her idea of a progressive year-long Christmas better anyway! We try to stretch out our gift-giving as much as possible too. It was fun at the party tonight but also when there is a smaller and quieter group just to share a few choice items, or however you may celebrate. Thanks for sharing this and have a very special time!

Seems like she still had a great Christmas.
Leland got pink eye for ours and I was slept almost the whole day away with a high fever and swollen lymph nodes. :/

Thanks. Yep, the Dr. called in eye drops for Leland that day and I'm getting over what I had finally. I've been having issues since the end of October. Apparently I had/have mono, got strep, and had a sinus infection starting on top of it. No clue how I got any of it. I had no sore throat or other symptoms other then sinus infection, fever and lymph nodes. Feeling much better now that the lymph nodes went down though.

Christmas was different for us this year too, and I had to leave all my gifts with post it notes on them for my sister to wrap for me. BTW< Kyleigh makes a great tree.
