Challenge: Write us a Christmas romance.
According to the creation of Christmastown, Grinch lives in a cave on the tallest hill. He is lonely way up there and shapes man into man Adem. This man will have dominion over all of the Christmas trees and the reindeer. Adem also finds loneliness and asks Grinch to make a woman. The Grinch allows this and makes Esa as Adem's female companion.
Grinch leads them to a special garden with lots of trees and yet with only one single decorated Christmas tree, with a fruitcake placed underneath. The story goes that Grinch prohibits Adem and Esa from feasting on the fruitcake or looking at the lovely tree. However, a serpent slithers up from the fertile ground and tricks Esa into looking at the Christmas tree and savoring some delicious cake. She also gives some of the cake to Adem, and they are both expelled from the Christmas garden.
"You Adem will toil the Christmas tree forest all the rest of your days, and you Esa shall work baking fruitcakes all the rest of yours!" Grinch demands
A few years pass and Adem bores of toiling at the same every day and feasting on that fruitcake all the time and Esa, as Grinch had warned her, still had much desire and alway ached for her husband's love and attention. Adem though had grown bitter.
The following day, Adem rounded up all of the other men-folk and since they all felt the same way as he, they made the pact together. They would carry on with the building of trees in the Christmas forest, though would abstain from devouring any more fruitcakes. Hear, hear! they cheered as one, and so silly they were not thinking their efforts required nourishment and with their decision came the fall in line like tin soldiers from deprivation.
Seeing the fallen men and the grief from Esa and the other women, the Grinch started to understand the true meaning of Christmas and he made one hundred new men for the one hundred woman and also takes the curse off. The men now work making a variety of gifts and trees while the women bake a variety of treats. Yet most importantly, the Grinch had given the men and women the gift of attraction towards each other and love that will last all the rest of their days.
