Poor Kristen Stewart. Nearly six months after the Rupert Sanders cheating scandal, the world continues to vilify her. The latest revolting development for the On The Road star is Ben Affleck's sudden and shocking announcement that he's ditching Focus, the film project he'd planned to direct and star in with Stewart as the female lead. Affleck's announcement came not long after Kristen made an announcement of her own, confirming that she had indeed signed on for the Focus role. Looks like she'll have to focus on something else now. But what happened? Why did Ben Affleck suddenly bow out of a project he'd seemed so enthusiastic about just a couple of weeks ago? Well, according to rumors ricocheting round the Internet, there are answers to that too.
The lie--er--official explanation provided by Affleck is that "unfortunately the timing hasn't worked out and the film can't fit into [his] schedule anymore." Ah yes, the old "scheduling conflicts" excuse. It might be true; however, rumor has it on the fan sites, that poor Ben abandoned his project after getting an ultimatum from his wife, Jennifer Garner. La Garner who was once a T.V. star of some sort, and is now a fulltime hausfrau may have become all riled up over KStew's "scarlet reputation." So perhaps she decided to remove poor Benny from temptation by making him quit the film. That too is possible.
Of course, what La Garner doesn't seem to understand is that if Ben Affleck or any man for that matter has reached the chronological age and/or stagnant stage of his marriage (the seven year mark maybe?) where he's likely to "cheat," that's exactly what he will do. And if he doesn't do it with Kristen Stewart, he'll do it with somebody else. Men will always do what they want to do. They cannot be "stolen" or controlled by women.
So, there you have it. Which explanation do you think is the truth?
