Adam Lanza's Mom Taught Him How to Shoot

Adam Lanza changed the lives of many people yesterday when he opened fire at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Now new information keeps coming out about the death of his mother. A business owner in the area is speaking out saying that he knows his mom Nancy took her kids target shooting all the time.

Adam used a weapon that was his mother's to shoot and kill her before going to the school and killing several other people. All three of the weapons that he used yesterday in the Connecticut shooting belonged to his mother and were legally registered to her. So far there is no information out on if he owned any guns himself.

It is shocking to hear that a pastime that she loved doing with her children is what ultimately killed her. Nancy spent time with Adam and her other son Ryan shooting guns and teaching them how to use them. The fact that her son knew what he was doing is what ended up taking her life.

The guns that Adam Lanza used in the Connecticut shooting are now being used as a part of the investigation.

I consider Mrs. Lanza to be an accessory to the crime. was she ignorant of the danger that she was creating by bringing a Bushmasterr semiautomatic assault rifle into a home that she shared with her Youngest son? she quit her job- perhaps in order to take care of him, because he had problems?
her behavior was profoundly dumb.

I have to agree Chris and now that we know more, a lot of people have blood on their hands. If he caused an altercation Thursday, there is no reason he should have been allowed there or in on Friday.

Nancy Lanza failed as a mother and as a good samaritan. She taught her mentally unstable son to use a deadly weapon, but withheld therapy to help him deal with his issues.

From what I've read about the type of weapon, it has a 40 round clip, unless the clip was modified to hold more.
Although a semi-automatic, the rifle can be set to fire bursts of 3 rounds each time the trigger is pulled. In 13 seconds every bullet in the clip would have been fired. In a 20 x 20 foot classroom, most of those shots would be obviously be lethal.

Are driver's ed teachers accessory to crimes comitted by their student who drink and drive?

Are parent's who teach and allow their children to use sharp objects quilty of murder when their child slits their wrist or stabs someone?

Are Boy Scout leaders who train in knot tying guilty of murder when a student hangs themself or others?

Are parents who give their kids medication guilty of murder if their kids OD on drugs?

Who taught kids to jump off buildings and bridges to commit suicide?
Who taught kids to use baseball bats and other blunt objects then used to kill and maim others?
Who taught kids marshall arts and other hand to hand combat moves later used to kill and maim others?
Who taught kids to bully others at school and on the internet?

These people need to be brought to justice.

That is a profoundly silly comment. if you think Lanza's mom was wise to buy a Bushmaster and teach her troubled soon how to use it, just say so.
